Christmas w/ my Bestfriends

Every year, my bestfriends and I to celebrate Christmas go out to a fancy dinner. This year was no different so we decided on Stinking Rose. I think we came here 2 years ago as well, and here we are again... What can I say, I guess Koreans really do love their garlic! Unfortunately, I felt the flu creeping up so my appetite was fairly low, but my bestfriends were not disappointed with the food one bit. Each dish was gone by the end of the night! Along w/ the amazing food, Stinking Rose has also great decor, so we made sure to take full advantage with pictures!

Fancy dressing room next to the girls restroom
Sitting at the table... (I prefer the booth)
Entrance to the restaurant

We then ended the night at Hanna's house watching Crazy Stupid Love, which is seriously the cutest movie ever! Perfect way to end Christmas w/ my bestfriends!

Hello Winter Break

Hello! Yes I have officially started my winter break!!! So thrilled and relieved that I can take a break from school for a month. I don't have much plans, but that's okay. As long as I can start off my morning at the gym and come home to breakfast while watching Rachel Ray, I will be a happy girl for the remaining of the day. One thing I have decided to do during break is detoxing coffee and getting close to 8 hours of sleep. Once school starts, this is surely out the window so I will enjoy this while I can! Anyways, here are some pictures I collected over the past week.

My bestfriend Hanna is in town from Philly!! HI HANNA! :)
Tim Tebow is the epitome of my ideal man. Click here to see why. Video quality is really bad, but his interview is worth watching.

This has to be one of the best things I purchased during the holiday season, a waffle maker! I got it at Kohls for a little less than $30, and I am completely obsessed with it! My favorite to make is the smores waffle, where I mix in dark chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker to the batter. Absolutely finger lickin delicious!
Winter break = family time. We spent the day at South Coast Plaza the other day. What can I say, the apple doesn't far fall from the tree!

Wishing you all an early, but very MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Happy Birthday Joannie!

Yesterday was my beautiful best friend Joan's 24th birthday!!!  Her birthday night started like this....
Joan loves trying new food at new places (something I don't understand...lol), so for her birthday she made sure that we all try something out of our ordinary comfort restaurant, and opt for a cozy Cuban restaurant called Morros instead. Sweet staff even came by and sang Happy Birthday!

Next stop was  yet again another small cozy Korean bar in the lovely city of Rowland Heights! Oh how I miss Rowland.... It was another great night of calling up our buddies and being silly for a night. Time flies when you're having a good time! :)
Last stop was at Joan's house where I spent the night. But before we called it a night, we did the ultimate big no-no and cooked up a bowl of ramen and did the usual girl talk!
The only person missing last night was our girl Hanna who is all the way over in Philly... We missed you! But, what a great way to end Thanksgiving break. Now time to prepare for the grueling last couple weeks of school...

At the Range...

Hurray! I am officially on Thanksgiving Break for this coming week! How nice would it be if I can actually go somewhere fancy for vacation, but I will take any day off at school that I can get! Last week I took my dad to the golfing range and he loved it! He actually wants to go again this week!  It's been couple years since my dad and I went to the range, so we were very rusty.... haha. All in good fun!

The clubs literally piled dust in the storage!
Now I leave it in the trunk, so if want to get in on a round, just let me know!

Who do you think played better?

YOURS TRULY!! :)
But my dad had way better form! All those years of practice I guess...

Haha, it's okay appa next time!

We used to go to the range as  family every Saturday mornings when me and my brother were growing up. After my brother and I had our golf lessons, our family split into two teams and had a putting match, and I remember hating it! But now I realize how much I miss doing things like that with my family.

Fun at the Park

Couple Sundays ago our church went to the park for a soccer event. Me and Sue get pretty tired on Sundays after church, but we ended up playing with the kids and having a blast. I always get amazed at how much energy kids have ALL day!  I get tired when half the day passes, but no kids will play and play and play! Ideally, I would have loved to lounge around under the shade, but we ended up making some quick games for the kids to play.
Another great thing about kids is they will have fun with anything and everything.
Our supplies- hula hoops, empty water cans, and a soccer ball.

So adorable! Being around kids is so therapeutic. You get to put aside all the problems and anxieties that may be going on in your life, and be in the present state of a kid's mind.

On a side note- did any of you watch the Game 6 World Series tonight? Oh my goodness what a heart pumping 5 hours!!! I have been rooting for Texas Rangers since the post season started and really have grown fond for this team. There is so much heart and history with the players and I was completely crushed when they lost tonight. I was even surprised to know that the Texas Rangers have never won a World Series title before, which I find really hard to believe! Anyways, it would be amazing for this team to win tomorrow on Game 7! I will be rooting all the way! Good Luck Texas!!

Lion King 3D

My mom and I are not much movie-goers. The last time we watched a movie together at an actual theater was Princess Diaries 1!!! Even if there is a good movie playing, I always say I'm going to watch it, but I  never do. But when I heard Lion King 3D was playing, I made no excuses!!
My mom and I decided to go in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, and I'm thinking that the theater is going to be packed! I imagined a bunch of little kids with their families sitting all over the place. There's nothing worse than paying that ridiculous amount of money for a movie ticket, and getting sucky seats so I made sure we arrived early (30 minutes early to be exact)! And what do you know... NOBODY is in the theater!! Haha! So we made use of the time and got some yummy treats and snapped some pictures for memories...
My mom being my mom... haha
People always tell me that I am just like my mom, but I don't know much about our appearance. I think I take on more from my dad with that one. :)

Overall would I recommend watching Lion King 3D? Of course!! Lion King is a pure classic, and a perfect way to relive your childhood memory. My mom stepped out of the theater and said, "Jane after all these years, I realized I got better in English because I can understand the movie a lot more than the first time." LOL! As far as the whole 3D aspect? I thought it was really cool... But then again, this was my first 3D film ever, so I don't know if you would want to take my advice into much consideration.. lol Hoping your Saturday was just as fun as mine!

See You Next Season!

I did it! My insane week of 2 exams plus my GRE is finally over!! I was so sad that I was unable to watch Dodger's final game of the season b/c it was tangled in my crazy week.... Even though they didn't make it to the post season, they played so well near the end of the season, that I am that much more excited to see them play again next year.

When my birthday rolls around I make sure to make it to the Dodger game with my girlfriends. It's the best way to celebrate a summer birthday, I think. This post is obviously long overdue since I celebrated in August, but I will recap anyway!

So near the 7th inning stretch, I wanted to take a nice group picture near the field so I ask this nice gentleman to take a picture for us, and the crowd starts cheering!! Haha obviously, they couldn't be cheering for 4 Asian girls, but it so happens that a big celebrity showed up on the big screen!!

Yes BLAKE GRIFFIN! What are the chances that this sweet gentlemen took this picture right when Griffin came on the big screen!!! Another plus going to a Dodger game is knowing that a celebrity will pretty much be there too. Last time we saw Paul Walker!

Cannot believe Kershaw is the same age as me! Such a talented guy...

Getting silly with the foam finger. Joan gets the most creative award :)

This view comes with the ticket price!

Oh and in case you were wondering, Dodgers did win that night! Thank you girls for another amazing birthday celebration! See you next season Dodgers!
