Hitting for the Cycle!

On Tuesday, I got to go to Home Run Park with my brother and dad. Home Run Park is a batting cage in Anaheim, and only a mile away from my house. I love watching baseball, but getting to actually bat myself was a totally different experience. We had such a good time, definitely a good place to take out aggression!

It's only a dollar for 12 pitches (which does go by in less than a minute), and has different batting cages with different ball speeds. My brother was in the 80 mph batting cage, and me and my dad stuck with the 40-50 mph. The batting cages range from 90 mph to softball slow pitches, so it is literally fit for all levels. And on top of that, it is such a good workout! My upper body was so sore all day yesterday!! I am definitely going to make this a once a week activity! So fun!!!

Hitting for the Cycle, single-double-triple-home run! Sigh, I want to go again!!

Proud Auntie!

Shame on me for not keeping up with my blog posts. Last week has been the busiest I have been this whole summer vacay. My brother is officially here for the summer from Texas, I started my job as a piano teacher, my cousins and my cutest little neice came to visit for couple of days, and we had VBS at my church! Whew, what a week! I have no excuses for falling behind on my blog though, and hopefully it doesn't happen again!

Anyways, my cousin and her husband just had their first daughter, name Olivia Jun- Slangen so they came to visit from San Francisco. I was so excited to see my little neice for the first time and she was soooo beautiful!!! They were only here for 3 days, so the majority of the time was spent with our grandpa. But they are huge baseball fans, so we made sure to squeeze in a night to go see a ballgame. As much as my brother and I wanted to take them to a Dodgers game, we had to settle for the Angels due to traffic reasons.

I was so shocked to see how NICE Angels stadium was.
Angels vs. Tigers (Angels won 1-0 btw)
Little Livi enjoying the ballgame!
Proud great-grandpa
Proud auntie!

It's no secret that I love little babies, and I can't wait to be able to start a family of my own. But, I was reminded that it's definitely a lot of work and I am in no rush starting that chapter of my life just yet, nor am I even prepared to. LOL I already miss my little Livi. Isn't she just the cutest little thing!?

Dodgers Saga

Have you been keeping up with the Dodgers lately? Every morning I turn on the news as I eat my breakfast, and it seems like the whole saga is never ending. First the divorce, then the Bryan Stow case, and then MLB takes over, and now the bankruptcy! Ahhh, so heartbreaking!!!! I blame you Frank McCourt for driving the legendary Dodgers into bankruptcy! How embarrassing... tsk tsk tsk
Here we are at the game last year on my birthday (Joan is taking the picture)

I want to keep the tradition alive where I take my girlfriends out to a ballgame for my birthday, but I'm really debating whether I should do that this year. I don't want to go to a game w/ Frank McCourt in the mix. But I still have another month to debate that over... Will you be watching the Dodgers play the Angels this weekend?
