Fun at the Park

Couple Sundays ago our church went to the park for a soccer event. Me and Sue get pretty tired on Sundays after church, but we ended up playing with the kids and having a blast. I always get amazed at how much energy kids have ALL day!  I get tired when half the day passes, but no kids will play and play and play! Ideally, I would have loved to lounge around under the shade, but we ended up making some quick games for the kids to play.
Another great thing about kids is they will have fun with anything and everything.
Our supplies- hula hoops, empty water cans, and a soccer ball.

So adorable! Being around kids is so therapeutic. You get to put aside all the problems and anxieties that may be going on in your life, and be in the present state of a kid's mind.

On a side note- did any of you watch the Game 6 World Series tonight? Oh my goodness what a heart pumping 5 hours!!! I have been rooting for Texas Rangers since the post season started and really have grown fond for this team. There is so much heart and history with the players and I was completely crushed when they lost tonight. I was even surprised to know that the Texas Rangers have never won a World Series title before, which I find really hard to believe! Anyways, it would be amazing for this team to win tomorrow on Game 7! I will be rooting all the way! Good Luck Texas!!

Lion King 3D

My mom and I are not much movie-goers. The last time we watched a movie together at an actual theater was Princess Diaries 1!!! Even if there is a good movie playing, I always say I'm going to watch it, but I  never do. But when I heard Lion King 3D was playing, I made no excuses!!
My mom and I decided to go in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, and I'm thinking that the theater is going to be packed! I imagined a bunch of little kids with their families sitting all over the place. There's nothing worse than paying that ridiculous amount of money for a movie ticket, and getting sucky seats so I made sure we arrived early (30 minutes early to be exact)! And what do you know... NOBODY is in the theater!! Haha! So we made use of the time and got some yummy treats and snapped some pictures for memories...
My mom being my mom... haha
People always tell me that I am just like my mom, but I don't know much about our appearance. I think I take on more from my dad with that one. :)

Overall would I recommend watching Lion King 3D? Of course!! Lion King is a pure classic, and a perfect way to relive your childhood memory. My mom stepped out of the theater and said, "Jane after all these years, I realized I got better in English because I can understand the movie a lot more than the first time." LOL! As far as the whole 3D aspect? I thought it was really cool... But then again, this was my first 3D film ever, so I don't know if you would want to take my advice into much consideration.. lol Hoping your Saturday was just as fun as mine!

See You Next Season!

I did it! My insane week of 2 exams plus my GRE is finally over!! I was so sad that I was unable to watch Dodger's final game of the season b/c it was tangled in my crazy week.... Even though they didn't make it to the post season, they played so well near the end of the season, that I am that much more excited to see them play again next year.

When my birthday rolls around I make sure to make it to the Dodger game with my girlfriends. It's the best way to celebrate a summer birthday, I think. This post is obviously long overdue since I celebrated in August, but I will recap anyway!

So near the 7th inning stretch, I wanted to take a nice group picture near the field so I ask this nice gentleman to take a picture for us, and the crowd starts cheering!! Haha obviously, they couldn't be cheering for 4 Asian girls, but it so happens that a big celebrity showed up on the big screen!!

Yes BLAKE GRIFFIN! What are the chances that this sweet gentlemen took this picture right when Griffin came on the big screen!!! Another plus going to a Dodger game is knowing that a celebrity will pretty much be there too. Last time we saw Paul Walker!

Cannot believe Kershaw is the same age as me! Such a talented guy...

Getting silly with the foam finger. Joan gets the most creative award :)

This view comes with the ticket price!

Oh and in case you were wondering, Dodgers did win that night! Thank you girls for another amazing birthday celebration! See you next season Dodgers!

Preschool Love!

These are the preschool students at my church! I'm so blessed to be able to serve at this church with such a great staff. Aren't they so adorable!!! It's amazing to see how unique each of their personalities are even at such a young age, and I love getting to see them grow each week. After a stressful week of school, I'm glad I have the weekend to be around them!

Don't you just love how colorful our little bunch is?? Four students moved on up to the elementary school recently, so our Sunday's are a lot more quieter with the younger ones. If you're looking for a church, come stop by La Hanmi!

The Little Things

I wish all days were like this! An easy/short day in lab, a good workout at the gym, and now at home studying in the afternoon with plenty of time to spare! Usually by the time I'm done with class or work, I get pooped out and won't start studying till night. And on top of that, the weather is so perfect right now! Oh the little things :) Leaving you with a song I can't out of my head lately!

Only in Hollywood...

This is so bizarre and weird, but also incredibly funny and cute! Beyonce and Jay Z made a twitter account for their unborn baby, and he/she tweets the funniest stuff! If you have couple minutes, read through the tweets!! It'll bring you some laughs for the soul!

Some of my favorite ones..
-I'll never understand my dad's "Hard Knock Life"
-I get free in lullaby what you pay hundreds to see in a concert.
-Suri can come to my parties, I guess.
-My form of teen rebel would be listening to country music.
-There better be a fresh pair of Timbs or Louboutins on the other side waiting for me.

Remembering 9/11

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. So tragic what happened to so many lives that day. I was at Harvest Crusade yesterday and Greg Laurie says, "A lot of unbelievers ask...if God is God, why is there suffering in this world?" Even as a believer, I really wanted to know the answer to that question. Why do people need to go through pain, suffering, tribulation, and trials? Greg Laurie said he didn't know the answer, but that he has a list of questions that he wants to ask God when he goes to heaven, and that is one of his questions. And you know what, I'm going to ask God the same thing!
Greg Laurie also said that we are all going to suffer in life, it is just a matter of when. But to find comfort because to know God and to accept God means that our life is not here in this world, but in Heaven. To all the lives that were taken this day, I pray that they are all now in a better place.
